Adventure

The most adventurous cruises in the world

Cruises are one of the most popular types of vacation that you can take. But they have a reputation of being predictable, overly family-oriented, or for the retired community. Still, the idea of a cruise is fun. You get to island hop or pass through different countries all in one vacation. So how can you bridge the gap between a predictable vacation and something more exciting? The answer is easy: adventure cruises. Adventure cruises are out there and waiting for you to try them.

Fun Cruiseships

1. Race Track, Norwegian Cruise Line

This cruise liner actually has a go kart track on the top of it, allowing you to race around while you are cruising around the ocean. There are 10 carts on the 833 foot track to keep you entertained. This cruise goes from Alaska to Seattle and along both the Caribbean and the Mexican Riviera. That means you can hit up some of the most popular cruise destinations and still have a blast while you are aboard the ship.

Who says Roller coasters are only for land babies? The Skyride will have you whooping and screaming around a roller coaster ride of a lifetime in the middle of the ocean!

2. Skyride, Carnival Cruise Line

Launched on the Carnival Vista, the Skyride is the closest you are going to get to riding a rollercoaster on the ocean. It is made up of an open-air bicycle that lets you race other people as you pedal along the parallel beams. The cruise services both North America and Europe, which will give you a lot of ground to play on.

3. AquaDuck, Disney Cruise Line

If you love everything Disney, the AquaDuck is going to blow you away. The cruise ship offers incredible water slides, which means you get to have a waterslide adventure while you are cruising on the seas. There is an aqua coaster that gives you the thrills of dips, turns, and climbs of a rollercoaster but in the water and in the middle of the ocean.

Great Destinations:

1. French Polynesia

French Polynesia

Not only is French Polynesia one of the most beautiful places in the world, it is also even better if you want to see as many islands as you can on one cruise. There are plenty of adventures waiting for you among the lagoons and beachfronts. Your off-ship adventures can include sailing, beach volleyball on petite islands, or even some scuba diving whenever you get the chance to get off the boat. Polynesia offers an array of water sport activities, including all the usual like windsurfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

2. The Caribbean

There are so many wonderful choices if you want to go island hopping in the Caribbean. From ziplining to snorkeling, you can get off the boat and really stretch your legs. The Caribbean is known for its sun and sand, but there is a lot more on offer than that. Depending on the cruise line, the ships all offer fun and adventure on the ship itself as well. But on the islands themselves, you can take on any adventure that your imagination can think of.

3. Antarctica

Nothing gets more adventurous than heading to Antarctica for a cruise adventure of a lifetime

One of the most amazing places that you could ever think of going is to the actual end of the Earth. Most people can’t think of a bigger adventure than a trip to Antarctica. Taking a cruise ship there is a good way to ensure that you stay warm during the trip, but don’t think you are going to be stuck on a ship the whole time. You can see penguins, whales, and more as you make your way around icebergs and glaciers, seeing the world in a completely different way than you have before. It is the ultimate adventure.
