In the last few years, road and mountain biking is becoming more and more popular in the US. Fortunately, there are so many amazing bike trails across the country that no matter where you live, you will find one. It’s hard to tell and separate the few best bike trails in the States, but some are more breathtaking than others, and that’s a fact. The US has so many make-you-love-life bike trails, that will make you must start riding a bike as soon as possible.
Here are some of the best bike trails that the States have to offer.
The loop is also known as the lollypop loop because of the cotton candy clouds that you can see along the entire ride. This part of the Black Canyon National Recreation Trail is a favorite among many recreational bikers. It’s an exciting mash-up of rugged terrain, climbs, and some stunning desert views. The best time to visit is from January through March or November/December.
The best thing about this bike trail is its surrounding environment. Be prepared to stop many times to take photos of the beautiful nature and the crashing waves right next to the trail. The trail is a cut through a mountainside from where you get to earn the most spectacular vistas of your life. This trail can be visited all year round, but before you accept the challenge make sure you are physically prepared.
Jalama Beach Ride is an iconic route for the bikers who love to drink wine. This doesn’t mean you should only do this trail to get drunk in the end, but to enjoy the magnificent natural settings and end the day with a tasty meal and wine tasting at one of the many vineyards in the area. Enjoy the rolling hills and the ocean view, and if you get tired, make frequent stops and just chill at the local ranches. The best time to visit is from April through June.
While spinning your wheels along this trail, you will probably be accompanied by a few gators. It’s not like they’re going to chase you around, but you will maybe have to peddle your way through them. Birds and turtles are also visible all along the trail. If you’re looking for a wild ride and warm temperatures, then this is the perfect trail for you.
If climbing 3,300 feet is your thing, then this is the right bike trail for you. The trail is carved on the side of the mountain, and it’s very narrow which gives a daredevil-like feeling. If you want to challenge yourself and if you like extreme riding, you won’t regret coming here. If you are a beginner, don’t you even dare to start peddling here because you will regret it. To complete this trail, a serious preparation and biking experience is needed.
The US is full of scenic bike rides that gain more and more bikers each year, and that’s great. Biking is an outstanding sport, no matter if you do it as a professional or as an amateur. You can always find a trail that suits any level and enjoy the natural beauties that come along the way. Good luck!
