Brooklyn Boulders’ First Birthday Party

Here at Outdoor Revival we like all outdoor activities, although I can’t say I’m a climber I do know a few and if they or any of you are around the Long Island City, NY area on the 10th Dec it would be well worth a visit to Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge to take part in their first birthday party, we’ve got more information below and follow the link for tickets.

They’ve got a great setup with 25,000 square feet of climbing surfaces so even if you can’t make it for the birthday bash it’s worth popping down for a climb and if it’s something you want to get into they do some great beginners classes and there’s a great local climbing community that will help you along.

Here’s more about the birthday event:

Get wild. Brooklyn Boulders Queensbridge is celebrating our first birthday on December 10.

Brooklyn Boulders (BKB) opened it’s doors in 2009 in the old Daily News Garage as New York City’s first ever climbing space. It started as a dream and was turned into a reality with a lot of sweat, some blood, volunteers and a new community fueled by passion. (PRNewsFoto/Brooklyn Boulders)

This year we are bringing outdoor places to indoor spaces. Unleash your inner beast. Party with us all day, featuring a climbing competition, musical performance by Washed Out, and more.

Celebrate climbing and community with musical guests DJ Joro Boro, Josh Jacobson, It’s Prints, and Washed Out. Enjoy brews and local bites from partners Sixpoint Brewery, LIC Beer Project, Iron Smoke Whiskey, Greenpoint Fish & Lobster, and Furnace Industries. Also featuring a climbing competition, ‘ice climbing’, yoga performers, and a full lineup of stellar performances.

About Brooklyn Boulders

Brooklyn Boulders (BKB) opened it’s doors in 2009 in the old Daily News Garage as New York City’s first ever climbing space. It started as a dream and was turned into a reality with a lot of sweat, some blood, volunteers and a new community fueled by passion.

Our community has grown and expanded to Boston, Chicago and Long Island City, and the concept behind Brooklyn Boulders has evolved beyond the typical climbing gym: we work with local artists to fill our walls, we offer innovative co-working spaces, fitness and yoga classes, and throw crazy fun parties and one-of-a-kind-events. Join our mission to affect positive change in urban cities while redefining the climbing, fitness, and event industries.
