10 years ago I nearly drowned kite surfing. It took me almost an hour to get to shore through powerful waves and a strong riptide.There was nothing on the market that could help me in this situation without limiting my activity. So we built up a team in 2012 and we created the first wearable inflatable flotation tube: Restube. Fast forward to today, we’ve saved at least 25 lives with our system. Our Kickstarter is aimed at helping to finish certification and ramp up production for both product innovations. Offering the fully featured, deluxe versions as rewards to our backers.
These are the two most advanced, lightweight flotation technologies ever made. The “Ultralite Swim Tube” is based on our proven Restube design but with sleeker, lighter weight material and full on LED illumination.
The “Ultralite Life Jacket” is the smallest of its kind and our first one designed for US coast-guard certificiation. The jacket will also match European standards for buoyancy aids for activities close to the shore.
Sonni Hönscheid supports us to improve Restube since years. She is three times Molokai 2 Oahu Chamionship winner and knows exactly about water safety issues and the needed comfort for paddling. We designed our new “Ultralite Life Jacket” especially for stand-up paddleboarders (SUP).
Also boaters, anglers or paddlers love the very compact system which is perfect for water activities that require a US coast guard approved life preserver Type 5 with Type 3 performance. It also matches European ISO 12402-5 standard.
