The most luxury golf venues in the US

Golf and luxury have a very strong relationship since a long time ago. This type of relationships is very welcomed in the States and people really enjoy being part of it. The resorts where America’s nobles were vacationing were very popular during the year of 1800 when golf was established as a sports discipline. It reached its popularity with the speed of light, spreading as the fanciest outdoor recreation among wealthy people.

The most popular resorts in the past were located in Virginia Mountains and Pennsylvania. Nowadays is different, no matter if you travel to the beach or the mountains, you can find a luxurious golf course where you can relax and spend some great time enjoying this smooth game.

The Greenbrier

Since 1788 The Greenbriar is an example of a good mountain resort. It is the standard by which resorts are measured. Located in West Virginia Mountains, The Greenbriar was a favorite place for vacation for American aristocrats. The Old Greenbrier Course is the first one and dates since 1979.

The Old White Course was built in 1914 and was recently renovated to save the original charm of the designer C.B. Macdonald. The third one, The Meadows Course is not smooth as the first two, but it’s perfect for the ones who prefer higher obstacles.

Pinehurst

The world famous Pinehurst was a home of two US Open Championships. The seven courses are welcoming golf lovers from all over the world. Starting with the friendly No. 1 to the more difficult No. 4 to the No. 8 which shows the best the geography of the North Carolina Sandhills. Except golf Pinehurst Resort offers other lawn sports including croquet and lawn bowling.

The Monterey Peninsula is all about luxury golf. The oceanfront Lodge at Pebble Beach is very famous its golf courses facing the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Top-class entertainment is what you can find here while enjoying the nine dramatic oceanside holes.
