A First Aid Kit is an essential component in every home, workplace and some would even say when you’re traveling in any way. The whole point of a First Aid Kit is to keep us safer by minimizing any damage or after effects due to an accident or a minor injury.

We have a couple here in the office, and because we’re often outdoors we’ve got smaller personalized kits that are usually with us as well.

While many stores will sell generic, pre-made First Aid Kits that come equipped with the various medical necessities, there is always the option of making your own so that you can be sure of what ingredients are in your kit.

 

There has been a huge upsurge in the use of alternative medicines, and the offshoot of that is that many people use Essential Oils along with more traditional first aid supplies. As there’s so much information about First Aid Kits, we are going to focus mostly on these for this article.

One of the first things you should do is find a good container to put your First Aid Kit in; it doesn’t have to be a bag, it can be a box, just something that will keep everything safe and protected. Once you have found the right sized container, you will be able to start working on what to put into your homemade, natural, First Aid Kit.

Adding various teas to a natural first aid kit can also be a great way to stay healthy and get healthy once you fall ill. They are a great help with sore throats but can also help with headaches and stress, and there are many soothing and calming teas. There are also some teas that will help with sleeping issues as well.

 

Honey is a great addition too and can be used to help with a wide array of ailments such as a sore throat, and some say even heart disease.
