As with all Kickstarter project they’re community funded and so generally they only get produced once the targets are met and the project is feasible.

About this project:

Having fun on the water is what this is all about. Our inventor Alex has been into watersports his whole life. Waterskiing, Wakeboarding, Windsurfing, Kite Surfing, Surfing have all provided great days out, bragging rights and fun with friends.

Being based in Scotland though, there are days – and lots of them – when the conditions are poor, cold, no waves, chop and chills.

It was on such a day when Alex was out surfing that he thought “there has to be a better way of doing this. If I had more propulsion I could do so much more”.

What are Sealblades?

Sealblades are for active, sporty, water loving types, for people who want to get a taste of the experience of surfing without putting their bodies on the line, for people who may never have surfed before but want to get out on a board to explore, have a paddle, a work out or maybe get back up-wind after a lovely Stand Up Paddle board session.

For active families looking for extra entertainment for a day at the beach. Think of them more as an alternative to Stand Up Paddle boarding.

Sealblades can be used for surfing, to boost prone paddle boarding or for people who just want to get out on a board to explore or have a good workout.

Sealblades Zero Rush – a smaller, streamlined Sealblades design for smaller adults and teens. All the same cool functional and design features as Sealblades Zero with a smaller blade surface, slightly less power and resistance for the less buff among us but no less fun.
