Lake Allatoona

Lake Allatoona has not only got amazing scenery, but it also has crystal clear drinkable water. This gigantic lake is perfect for fishing and exploring. It’s spread through three counties: Cherokee, Cobb, and Bartow.

 

Lake Blackshear

Lake Blackshear was manmade in 1930. When the area was flooded, the trees were supposed to be the victims and discompose. Instead, they survived with their roots at the bottom of the lake.

Lake Seminole

Lake Seminole shares its border with Florida. In this area, you can find rich wildlife and see some Largemouth Bass, American alligators, and snakes.

Lake Blue Ridge

Lake Blue Ridge offers so much fun. In the marina, you can rent a boat and enjoy one of the many water activities. The dam was built during the great depression and gave thousands of Americans an opportunity to work.

Lake Lanier  

One more lake where you can get your boat wet this summer. Only 45 minutes north of Atlanta, Lake Lanier is the favorite place of recreation for the people of Georgia.

High Falls Lake

Georgia’s top fishing spot, High Falls Lake will leave you breathless with its stunning beauty. The amazing waterfalls and many walking trails make it a perfect place to relax.

Lake Oconee

You will be overwhelmed here by the number of events and festival you can attend. Also, a perfect place for all golf lovers.

Lake Rabun

Surrounded by peaceful nature, Lake Rabun is a perfect romantic getaway. The lake is most visited over the Fourth of July holiday with a wooden boat parade across the lake.

Lake Burton

The 4th of July fireworks in the middle of the lake has been a tradition for the last 25 years. Located in the Appalachian Mountains, this lake is created by a dam to generate electricity in the area.
