Where to travel this June and why

June is almost here, and the weather is getting better every day. As the sun starts to shine, we get tired of sitting in our offices and listen to the car honks all day long. The one thing that can help for sure in fighting against the city-life boredom is traveling.

If you have no idea what are the best places in the world to visit this June, here are a couple of suggestions that you may find interesting for your next adventure. Let’s get started!

Fly-fishing in Idaho

Fishing

If you want to treat yourself and your dad something special this season, then skip the leather wallet and the tie, and take him to Idaho on a fly-fishing trip. Snake River in Idaho offers incredible fishing conditions and what you can mostly find here is a trout. More than 65 percent of Idaho territory is government owned, which means most of that land is protected with water-access laws. If you don’t think Idaho is a good fly-fishing choice, go for a rustic vacation in Montana.

The Great Smokey Mountains

The famous blue haze

Believe it or not, there are more than 9 million visitors each year heading to North Carolina or Tennessee to witness the famous blue haze that wraps the gigantic mountains every morning and gives them a smokey look. June is a perfect month to visit the park due to the mild temperatures. Have in mind that summertime is when nature lovers from all ages start visiting parks, and the trails can get crowded. To avoid the hordes, don’t be lazy and be at the park before 10 a.m. In fact, get there as early as possible and have an exclusively walk among the Smokeys and their spectacular natural sceneries.

Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm, Sweden

One of the most developed countries in the world, the most wanted-for-living in Europe, Sweden has always been an attractive traveling destination, though a bit expensive. Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, is a beautiful city, with open-air museums, stretched on 14 islands. Architecture gigs will fall in love with the Stockholm buildings while taking a ride from one island to another. If you have always wanted to go to Europe, but you were never interested in the romantic stories of Venice, then maybe Sweden is the first country you should see.

A number-one reason to visit Sweden in June is the natural phenomena on the 21st day in the month when the sun is visible for 24 hours. Before and after the 21st of June, you can observe the midnight sun where the sun is visible until midnight.

Cruise the Mediterranean

Santorini Island, Greece

The Mediterranean region is most pleasant during the month of June when the temperatures are still mild, with a lot of sunny days and gentle breezes. While all the people prefer visiting the Mediterranean region in July and August, when it’s too hot, think about booking a ship cruise in June and stop in the charming ports of Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Another positive thing about the Mediterranean cruises is the exceptional food and the olive oil flavors that you can’t find anywhere else in the world. If your partner is a gourmand, you know how to surprise them the following month.

Machu Picchu, Perú

Amazing Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is the most famous attraction of Latin America besides Brazil’s Copacabana. “The lost city of the Incas” is overcrowded during the whole year. People come to see the stunning ruins including Temple of the Condor and Sun Gate. Take advantage of the dry season in June and book a flight to Cuzco, the nearest city of the ruins in Perú. The site is mostly visited in July and August, so be smart and go before everybody else. Good luck!
